Singapore
2011
Singapore was an in between curiosity trip. I only stayed for a couple of days, but it was worth the visit. Price wise, I felt it was comparable to living in Washington D.C.
It is extremely developed, clean, hot, and humid. I was amazed by the indoor mall which had a river running through it, as well as the metro. Using the metro in Washington D.C. for six years as well experiencing NYC subway transportation, Singapore's metro was incredible.
Accommodations:
Hotel with breakfast included.
Attractions:
Marina Bay. Spend $20 USD and go to the top of the Sands hotel for a sky view of the city. Botanic Garden, sight seeing bus tour, boat river tour, hawker food stalls, Little India, Raffles Hotel - Long Bar "Singapore Sling." Honestly, I thought the cleanliness of the city was an attraction and great architecture as well. There is a soccer/football pitch on the water!

Pricey for South East Asia. Hawker food stalls, satay, noodles, etc.

Metro, walking, and taxis.

Extremely safe.
